How We Compare Products
Our product guides help UK households compare home batteries, solar panels and other energy products fairly. These are the rules we follow.
Manufacturer data only
Every specification comes from the manufacturer’s own datasheet or knowledge base. Each product page links to its source and shows the date we checked it.
No scores we can’t back up
We have not lab-tested these products, so we don’t give them star ratings or “best buy” awards. The only star ratings come from owner reviews.
Moderated owner reviews
Reviews are checked before publishing. We reject reviews that look fake, incentivised, abusive or that contain personal details. We never write or buy reviews.
No paid placements
Manufacturers and installers cannot pay to be included or to rank higher. We currently earn no commission from these pages. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly on every page affected.
Facts, then guidance
“Good to know” notes are based on the published specs and warranty conditions — for example a charge temperature limit or a warranty that requires internet connection.
